Federica  was born in Lucca, Tuscany,  on a snowy day at the end of the 80s. Although she grew up when Take That and the Spice Girls were exploding onto the musical scene she was not pulled into the whirlpool of mainstream pop and as an adolescent  basked in British New Wave and Indie rock flavoured with the existentialist spleen of Baudelaire and the French decadents.

After secondary school Federica studied modern history  at university – to understand the world – specialising in cultural anthropology and ethnology – to understand mankind.  She enjoys amateur theatrical activities and every year attempts to detox from caffeine.
